Danny liked to look at the nestlings, but today he had to leave early. He wanted to be sure that the chicks were well. When he got back, the whole family was ready to get into the car and go to visit grandma and grandpa. They planned the trip beforehand. As soon as Dad’s vacations started, they went.

Danny loved to visit his grandparents. Granny made delicious cakes, and Danny had a sweet tooth. Grandpa knew a lot of funny stories and always came out with a fresh one.

The grandparents lived in the mountains next to a beautiful lake. Grandpa owned a big boat, and often went fishing. Actually, during the previous trips, Danny was too young to go fishing, but now he hoped to do it himself. Dad bought him a real fishing rod, and Danny fidgeted while dreaming to get into the boat and start fishing.

Dad finished packing the bags into the minivan, sisters Becca and Linn were inside the car. Mom and Danny tried to buckle the puppy up into the basket, but he thought that it is a new funny game and jumped out from the car. Finally, he was seated and buckled up. Everybody was there and off they go!
